Recently, a few of my close friends, are addicted to workout.

Some looked for gym buddies.

Some hired trainer.

I, jumped on the bandwagon too, with the goals of:

  • > Recouping my energy.
  • > Build up my muscles.  
  • > Slim down from 78kg to 70kg (Quantify the goal!)

Just that, I beg to differ in my method.

I don't hire trainer, nor look for gym companion.

As I know, these are externally driven factors, and I will stop my workout when I stop hiring the trainer, or when my gym buddies quit for whatever reasons.

I need something... internally driven.

It has to come from within (desire).

I want to be proactive.
I want to make it a habit.

For past 6 months, I have committed to a daily workout routine of 30 to 45 minutes. With a set of push up, squats, plank, crunch, jumping jacks, lunge, side plank, sit-ups etc.

Basically a set of movement, that does not require any equipment, and can be done anywhere.

I know once I successfully make it a habit, it will stick with me for the rest of my life, and I shall reap the benefits as of this new habit forming.

Without much control of food intake, my weight is now hovering at 74kg +/-. Another 4kg to go, as of writing.

It's a journey, the goal is to stay physically fit so it can equipped me with energy to pursue my dream, and ready me for whatever obstacles that will come ahead.

I want to end this with one inspirational quote form 王德顺,  "人的潜能是大可深挖的,当你要说太晚了的时候,它可能是你退却的借口。没有人可以阻止你成功,除了你自己."

If he can, why not you?
